Celebrating 46 Years of Faith and Life (1980 - 2026)

Reflecting on 46 years since our parish was founded: from early state school Masses to a thriving spiritual home.

Parish Life Gallery & Historic Milestone

In 1980, the Catholic community of Wantirna took form as an independent parish under the patron Saint Luke the Evangelist. From humble beginnings celebrating Sunday Mass in the Regency Park State School classroom and outdoor shelters, generations of parishioners sacrificed and labored to build our beautiful church sanctuary, presbytery, and primary school. Today, St. Luke's celebrates 46 fruitful years of sacramental life, vibrant multicultural celebrations, youth ministry, and charitable outreach across Knox. We look back with profound gratitude to our pioneer families and forward with hope in Christ.
